A story of how love blossomed between Loan and Binh. It all began at a mutual friend’s wedding in San Diego. They both didn’t notice each other at first until Loan saw Binh staring at her from across the room, and Binh gazed at her with such intent because of her beautiful smile. She thought he was being creepy, but in his mind, she was the most amazing person in the room. Loan flew back to her hometown in Michigan, while Binh persistently asked their mutual friends of ways to contact her. Binh learned of his new found love as “Loan from Michigan.” He stalked her on MySpace and asked a friend to ask Loan if he could add her. When she added him on MySpace, they started messaging each other every single day from that moment on. Binh always looked forward to her “Good Mornings” and “How is your day?” messages. This led him to realize that the closer they’ve become the deeper in love he felt for her, but she didn’t know that yet. He was on a family vacation in Vegas one day and bought Loan a gift. Loan claimed that he wanted to personally give her the gift the next time she visited San Diego, but according to Binh, she wanted him to give it to her in person. When people are in love, stories are contorted between lovers’ different views, but no matter what it still led to their first meeting. Binh felt extremely nervous on their first date, but Loan made him feel comfortable. They spent every single day together during her visit in San Diego. Loan noticed that one of Binh’s many qualities is with children and they all gravitated toward him. She thought he might be the one. As time passed, they decided to have a long distant relationship and travelled back and forth to see each other. The more time Binh spent with her, he knew she had to be the one because she’s so “sweet, fun, and perfect in every single way.” Binh took a bold move of moving to Michigan to be closer to her and this made Loan fall in love with him because of his sincerity. Half a year or so later, they both moved to San Diego. After Binh took Loan on a romantic dinner cruise, they went home where she saw flowers and candles lighting up the room and Binh dropped on one knee and proposed. Loan said “Yes!” and family and friends came out of hiding to surprise her. This story captures how true and precious love can be when two people find it in each other.
