About THE KOMANS

Koman Studio, also known as The Komans, is a husband-and-wife team of fine art wedding photographers and filmmakers who travel the world to capture extraordinary love stories.

 

Based in Tuscany, Italy, and originally from Southern California, Marlene and John Koman have been documenting luxury weddings for over thirteen years across Europe and the United States, including Lake Como, the Amalfi Coast, Florence, Sicily, Provence, and California’s Wine Country.

When they are not capturing weddings the Komans love spending time with their family and friends. They love biking or doing stand up paddle boarding at the beach. During the winter time you’ll find them snowboarding during the day and snuggling by the fire watching a good movie in the evenings. They also love exploring new places and planning out new adventures. FROM OUR BRIDES

I cannot say enough GREAT things about the Komans!!! As soon as we had found their site and saw their beautiful photos, we knew we just HAD to use them!!! We were unable to meet Marlene and John before our big day since we were planning our wedding from across the country, but as soon as we had met them it felt like they were old friends to us. They both made us feel so comfortable on a day that can be so busy and nerve-wrecking. They gave us so much direction that we didn't have to worry about anything except having fun!!! Because our wedding was so small and intimate, we were able to spend a ton of time taking photos and some of our most memorable moments were hanging out with them. I also love that Marlene and John will show you the photos as they are taking them, so you know exactly what you look like...I am not kidding when I say that it looks like their photos have already been edited when shown on the "preview" screen. These two are true artists!!!! Not only are Marlene and John talented and professional but they are so kindhearted and funny as well. We will recommend them again and again!!! These two are the ABSOLUTE BEST!!!!!!

LOOK NO FURTHER. That's right, you have just found the most amazing wedding photographers EVER. I must admit, I am not so easy to please & I was more than impressed with the Komans. From our first meeting they made sure to answer all of our questions and were really easy to get along with. Throughout our communications they were always very professional, super sweet, and very prompt in every reply. And of course, their photos speak for themselves! They're commonly featured on StyleMePretty and you could be too! They use soft natural lighting and make sure your photos have a variety of shots, romantic, classic, natural, posed, whimsical, fun, wide angles, close ups, you'll have so many beautiful shots to choose from... That will be your biggest problem! My bestie told me when she got her photos back (by another photographer) she only had a few she liked. When we received our shots, it was quite the opposite! Marlene and john work so well together that they capture you looking your best! And they're such a pleasant and sweet couple themselves, it's really easy to be natural and sweet around them too. We truly felt blessed to be working with a team who truly have passion and pride in their talent and hard work. We absolutely love love love all of our photos and I couldn't recommend anyone else to any of my besties!
