My fondest childhood memory is playing at the park for hours on end while my father captured black and white still photographs of my laughter and youth. Growing up I was always curious to find out more and more about my father's old cameras and would watch his every move hoping one day to grow up and be able to do exactly what he did- freeze time and capture moments that will be cherished and treasured in a lifetime. Over the years I have fallen in love with photography. I am constantly inspired by my surroundings and am eager to show my creativity. For me, being able to document the love and connection people share with my camera is the greatest reward. I have always loved to travel and I have a natural curiosity for humanity, cultures and the arts.
Telling stories has always fascinated me and over the years I’ve found various ways to express this passion: acting, painting and of course photography. Whether it was by discovering the truth behind a character or creating my own truth by painting it on a canvas I’ve always been eager to find new ways of story telling. I love photography because it’s one of the few tools we have that go beyond the boundaries of time. Photography is my vehicle for soul expression, it is a way for me to connect with people and offer them a piece of me, a piece that will stay in their family for many many years to come. I am deeply inspired by elements of influential style, film noir, old masters in painting and photography.
When they are not capturing weddings the Komans love spending time with their family and friends. They love biking or doing stand up paddle boarding at the beach. During the winter time you’ll find them snowboarding during the day and snuggling by the fire watching a good movie in the evenings.
They also love exploring new places and planning out new adventures. Their work has been featured worldwide in many top wedding magazines and blogs. The Komans are also proud members of Style Me Pretty Little Black Book, Wedding Sparrow and Magnolia Rouge preferred vendors.
